Geology
The early evolution theories assumed that things had slowly changed over very long periods of time. This is called uniformitarianism but then some pretty obvious evidence that some major upheavals took place started to be acknowledged by the established scientific community.
Some evolutionists now think there have probably been five major times when significant changes on earth caused many species to become extinct many millions of years ago. The Bible based creationist believes that most of them became extinct due to the year-long flood only a few thousand years ago. The Bible also talks of four upheavals:
1 The original creation with the earth covered by water
2 Formation of the firmament that divided the waters.
3 Formation of the one land mass
4 The flood
Space is not completely empty it contains lots of fine particles called cosmic dust. Measurements of the rate at which this dust is falling onto the earth have been made. At the current rate the present amount of cosmic dust on the earth would take about 9,000 years to fall.
Most of the cosmic dust landing on the earth gets washed into the seas but this cannot happen on the moon. Before man placed space probes on the moon secular scientists had predicted a dust thickness on the moon from miles deep to many metres as the dust is claimed to have had 4600 million years to build up. It was in fact around 6.5 centimetres indicating the moon is much younger than the age often claimed.
Uranium and thorium are radioactive materials continually emitting helium-4 nuclei. From the amount of helium-4 in the atmosphere today and from its present rate of release the current level would only take about 11,000 years to form. So something significant happened around 11,000 years ago that started this process off. What was it?
Carbon-14 is continually being formed in the upper atmosphere and as it is radioactive it is also decreasing through radioactive decay. If the earth were older than 100,000 years the rate of generation and the rate of decay would become the same and it would remain at the same level, but it is increasing. Based on the current rate it has been calculated the earth's atmosphere is about 10,500 years old.
The earth's magnetic field is decaying at an astonishingly fast rate. It halves every 1400 years. At this rate 20,000 years ago the magnetic field would have been so large that the core of the earth could not have sustained the electrical currents required to produce it. So if the earth is 4.5by years old how come something major happened within its core no more than 20,000 years ago to set this magnetic field up?
In various places around the world the landscape is being changed through erosion and sediments being deposited. Some scientists have assumed that all the world's sedimentary rocks were formed at today's rates and created a series of ages called the Geological Column. In these ages certain animals are said to have developed and died. They then say any rocks with fossils of these animals in them must have been formed in that age or later. That logical fallacy is called circular reasoning.
Nowhere in the world do the actually rock layers follow the order suggested in this theoretical column. In most places in the world half of the periods suggested do not exist and the layers that are there are not in the suggested order. Directly on top of the oldest so-called Cambrian rocks can be found any of the more recent periods. The Geological Column attempts to spread out the geological evidence in a way that suggests it took literally ages to be formed but in practice it clearly does not fit reality.
When periods are missing millions of years are said to have passed in-between the layers but usually there are no signs of any of the erosion that would have occurred to the lower level. This indicates that the geological column can be scientifically classified as a myth.
When evolution was promoted by Darwin it was assumed things are now as they always have been but most geology and fossils can be shown to be the results of catastrophic events. Current evolutionist theories are radically different to those accepted as true in Darwin’s day. In fact there are over fifty documented theories of evolution many of which are completely contradictory. Each theory is promoted by explaining why the others are wrong. One famous progressive evolutionist accused other scientists of clinging to legends preventing progress while they slanted their findings to fit a simplistic hypothesis but was he any different? It is not unreasonable to suggest that the present theories are just as erroneous as they have proved the first theories to be?
Sedimentary rocks are said to have formed at about 300mm (1ft) every 1000 years that is 0.3mm (0.012") per year. However for an animal to be fossilised it needs to be totally covered immediately and pressure exerted. This will just not happen at a rock deposition rate of 0.3mm/year. Also there are many fossilised trees passing through up to 15m (50ft) of sedimentary rock this clearly demonstrates that rock up to 15m thick can be formed very quickly.
Recent experiments have shown that the layer effect seen in sedimentary rocks called strata is not formed by depositing layer upon layer slowly over long periods of time but by mass deposition in flowing water, and that fissures in the layers do not indicate long gaps in sedimentation but are formed as the sediment dries out.
A massive flood occurred in 1965 in Bijou Creek, Colorado, USA where up to 3.7m (12ft) of sandy slurry was deposited in just two days. Over 90% of the sediment consisted of laminated strata and where the deposit dried out horizontal fissures appeared. Some geologists not knowing about the recent flood would say this landscape took tens of thousands of years to form but they would have been wrong wouldn't they?
Deep Sea Drilling and underwater seismic studies have shown that sedimentary rocks do not develop fissures unless the deposits dry out and that the angle of the stratification is the same as the original sea floor. This contradicts the normal interpretation that layers are laid down horizontally and angled through up-thrust or subsidence.
Laboratory research has shown that the strata effect seen in rocks is produced by various sized particles being grouped together as the deposit is created in eddies in the adjacent turbulent water flow. It has been shown by accredited scientific research that the majority of sedimentary rocks have been laid down rapidly under water and not over many thousands of years. That sounds like a global flood doesn't it!
Many of these principles were shown to happen in practice when in May 1980 an earthquake triggered the Mount St Helen's volcano to blow. In one day half a cubic mile of the earth was either blown into the sky or slid down the mountain. This resulted in up to 180m (600ft) of sedimentary rock being formed in one day and 5 days afterwards by rapid erosion and mud-flows a landscape that evolutionist geologists would say is hundreds of thousands of years old was formed. Hundreds of trees that had been pulled out of the ground ended up floating in a lake. The bark of the trees was worn off and formed a peat layer at the lake bottom very similar to coal, all it lacked was a bit of pressure to complete the job.
Other recent floods have been observed where turbulent rock carrying flood waters have eroded a landscape in days that would have been said to have taken tens of thousands of years.
Secular geologists speculate about their uniformitarianism myth interspersed with a few major cataclysms but what happened at Mount St Helen's demonstrates irrefutably that the current earths surface could have easily been formed in the biblical year long flood.
It has been estimated that the current sediment being deposited into the oceans by the worlds rivers is about 27.5 billion tons per year. At this rate the present total landmass above sea level would be eroded in 14 million years. Therefore if the ocean was 4.5 billion years old then all our current land mass would have been eroded away by now. The amount of sediment in the oceans at present almost amounts to twice the present land size and would only take 30 million years to deposit at present rates. Evolutionists do not have an explanation of why the ocean appears so much younger than the 1 billion years old they claim it is. Clearly some major formative event happened in the development of the earth much less than 1 billion years ago. If the rate of sediment deposition were greater in the past or due to catastrophic events then the young earth argument is even stronger.
A fossilised animal or plant is formed when the original organic matter turns into mineral matter. Fossils are rarely formed today because the conditions for them to be made rarely occur. However they are to be found everywhere around the world, in many places grouped together in vast quantities. Clearly they were made under conditions that are not the same as today. To form a fossil it is necessary for the plant or animal to be covered and significant pressure applied. This does not happen if the rocks are being laid down at 300mm(1ft)/1000years. The massive fossilised grave yards around the world could only have been formed at a time of major upheaval in the surface of the earth (i.e. the flood) not by uniformitarianism (i.e. millions of years).
In what geologists claim are the oldest rocks which are mainly volcanic (Pre Cambrian) fossils are virtually non-existent. Fossils appear in substantial numbers “first” in the so called Cambrian age but some are very complicated life forms with even fully developed eyes like the trilobite which is as complicated as a lobster while Protozoa from which everything is meant to have evolved is virtually absent. In a Canadian quarry fossils have been found in Cambrian rocks with five times the anatomical diversity found today. The evolutionists lie in their propaganda by saying that evidence of a progression from organic compounds to single celled organisms to multi-celled organisms can be found. It is simply just not so. THEY LIE. Fully developed organisms of every major group alive today are found in the oldest rocks. There is even a shod human footprint that has been found in Cambrian rocks that are said to have formed around 500my before man. This footprint has a crushed trilobite in its heel and these are meant to have become extinct 200my before man was around. Evolutionists unscientifically just ignore what they cannot explain, whereas the creationist is not troubled by these facts.
On the Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe a fossil was found of a human female. It is now in the British Natural History Museum. The rock is meant to be 12 to 25m.y. old but man is said to have been around for less than 1m.y. The rock is not on display any more. There are many further examples around the world of human fossils found in rocks claimed to have been laid down before man existed. Not only is evidence contrary to evolution ignored it is hidden.
If animals had evolved as evolutionists suggest the fossil record would have loads of intermediate or transitional forms as animals turned from one species into another but what we see are only fully developed separate species. The evolutionist's weak reply is that the fossil record is not a complete record of all animal types, but
between any existing or fossilised animal. How about that for a myth exploding fact. It is incredibly bad science to ignore such concrete scientifically established FACTS.
Many fossil plants and animals are like today's but some are significantly larger. DNA studies on ancient human remains have only shown negative mutations. The evidence is that we are devolving and not evolving higher as the evolutionists would like you to believe. From the fossil evidence and through what we see happening today it appears that animals are not evolving through survival of the fittest but simply becoming extinct. There is actually no evidence whatsoever to confirm that evolution is responsible for the development of the animal kingdom.
The flood story explains easily why vast lakes of fish can be found fossilised in tortured poses, even feeding and giving birth in locations miles away from the sea. It must be concluded that the vast majority of fossils were formed under catastrophic conditions.
Chalk is accepted as being compressed bone like shells. So how did the white cliffs of Dover (in Kent, England) get there with a thin layer of soil on top? It is ridiculous to promote uniformitarianism with all the blatant evidence of dramatic upheaval everywhere to be seen.
There are many fossilised trees that are classified as coming from the carboniferous period that do not show any growth rings. Before the flood the weather and seasons of today did not exist which explains this phenomena that secular scientists have no credible explanation of.
Even in the established scientific community it is now generally accepted there are no fossil missing links between man and apes. All known fossils are now accepted as fully man, fully ape or scientific fraud.
Due to examination of the evidence many evolutionists no longer see evolution as a steady process but a series of rapid expansions followed by mass extinction's. The creationist has little problem seeing the rapid expansions being creation and the mass extinction's occurring during the year-long Biblical flood. Contrary to popular secular claims as science develops and is applied more rigorously it actually does not contradict the Bible but proves its accuracy.
Mineral oil the world over has been mainly made from fish flesh acted upon by bacterial decomposition and pressure. The quantity of fish that died during the formation of all the oil deposits was absolutely phenomenal. Coal is known to be pressurised decomposing vegetation. How could such vast deposits of these things be where they are today without incredible movements of the earth's surface? Both of these phenomena are well explained by the Biblical yearlong flood.
Mammoths have often been associated with cold climates because their remains have been found frozen in places like Alaska. However, their skin was very similar to present day elephants and they would have needed a warm climate for comfort. There are an estimated 5,000,000 mammoths amongst many other warm climate animals frozen in the silt of the tundra across Asia, Alaska and Canada. They died of drowning on high ground and were then immediately frozen. Their last meal, often still in their mouths and stomachs, was that of a warm climate. Quick freezing experts suggest at least a 100°C temperature drop would be required to achieve this. The freezing conditions must have been continuous from then unto this very day due to their incredibly high level of preservation. This could only have happened through an awesome worldwide catastrophe that changed a warm climate over a few hours to a permanently deep frozen one. Come on, wake up and smell the coffee.
Studying the deposits left when glaciers melt has led some to conclude that there have been four or five main ice ages each lasting for thousands of years. By considering the frozen mammoths we can conclude that the glacial deposits would have been placed over a much shorter period than suggested. Bible believing creationists believe the so called ice ages took place immediately after the flood. Lasting only a few hundred years instead of the tens of thousands suggested.
