Mathematics
Infinity is a useful theoretical mathematical concept. However it can be shown that in the real world an infinite quantity of anything is impossible. In fact infinity does not behave like a real number it does not work in normal mathematics. This and other things led even Einstein to believe that space, matter and time all had to have a beginning.
If our universe’s current space, matter and time all had a beginning then it must have been initiated by something outside of our current space matter and time within which we live.
Secularists once said God did not create the world because the world has always existed. Now scientists believe the universe is expanding. This means if you go back in time it will have had a time when the expansion started. So they changed their mind and invented what is referred to as the Big Bang Theory. They just say they do not know what caused it.
And they accuse the creationist for being insecure and clinging on to myths. But that is exactly what the evolutionist is doing.
However when God created the universe one imagines something very similar to the Big Bang did actually occur. The result is an Earth so incredibly and delicately balanced that it is astoundingly perfect for life as we know it to prosper. Even atheists call this the Anthropic Principle.
The universe cannot have always existed. Time can be measured and anything that can be measured can never be infinite. Infinity is not possible it is just a useful concept to be used in scientific discussion. Time must have started somewhere. Whether it was 15 billion years ago or only a few thousand years ago is not actually the biggest issue, what started time is.
Time must have had a beginning caused by something outside of time. WARNING It is reasonable to suppose that the power that created time will also have the power to end it.
What blows my mind is that if you apply this to space. Then space must have a limit. But then what would be beyond that limit. Not more space but what would the boundary look like arghhhhhhhhh. Just like a mouse does not have the brain capability to study at university perhaps there are things about the world that are actually beyond our comprehension. Man is finite and not all knowing and never will be. Just because man is the most intelligent animal on earth does not mean there are not limitations to what we can comprehend. To deny this is incredibly arrogant.
