Under the Old Covenant or Testament there was healing.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

If you diligently heed the voice of Yehovah your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am Yehovah who heals you.

Then it shall come to pass because you listen to these judgements, and keep and do them, that Yehovah your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers. And He will love you and bless you ... And Yehovah will take away from you all sickness. [Deut 7:12,13&15]
Bless Yehovah O my soul and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities. Who heals all your diseases. [Psa 103:2-4]
Under the New Covenant things are even better.
... He is also Mediator of a better covenant which was established on better promises. [Heb 8:6]
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes and in Him Amen. [2 Cor 1:20]
But to you who fear My name The Son of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. [Mal 4:2]
... by whose stripes you were healed. [1 Pet 2:24]
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. [Heb 13:8]
... the wisdom that is from above is ... without partiality. [Jas 3:17]
Therefore it is the desire of God to heal all who come to Him. Healing tarries due to us, God has already done His part.
The basis for our relationship with God is a covenant. Part of God's side of the covenant is more than healing but health. If we, by lack of understanding of that covenant, do not fulfil our part of the covenant or do not know how to enter all of its benefits, then the evil one can hinder God fulfilling all His side of the covenant, including our healing. This leads to the often heard false accusation that if you are not healed it is due to some sin in your life, it is more likely due to lack of understanding of the spiritual principles involved.
We have an enemy who has set himself the task to kill steal and destroy. The Lord Jesus Christ has utterly overcome the enemy so how does the enemy hinder us from receiving all of our inheritance in the gospel.
Very often our prayers are squeals of desperation and not of faith. God has done all He can do for us through Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead. We release the power of the cross by faith by claiming our covenant rights. If not in faith the accuser of the brethren is able to contend with our prayer, that is why Jesus said:
For assuredly I say to you whoever SAYS to this mountain 'Be removed and cast into the sea' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he SAYS will come to pass, he will have whatever he SAYS. [Mark 11:23]
It is good to poor out the desires and requests of our hearts to the Lord, but when it comes to healing God has already done all He can do in the victory of the empty tomb. We need to pull down the strongholds of illness by faith, we need to cast out the illness with its attendant demons and stand on the promises of God and overcome all the resistance of the evil until Christ's victory is manifested.
Healing is not an extra blessing that it might be possible to get God to give to us, it is an integral part of our salvation. This is true for receiving the Holy Spirit too. That which has hindered someone from receiving the Holy Spirit could also be hindering the receiving of healing. There are spiritual laws which govern how we overcome evil and that includes illness too.
And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word (message) of their testimony (speech) [Rev 12:11]
I believe in You Lord. I believe You destroyed all evil on the cross including this illness in my body. I tell it to go now, go (name the illness) in the name of Jesus. I declare by faith that the symptoms are now in effect a lie, like everything else the devil says, because all my illness WAS destroyed when Jesus died and rose again. Now the root of the illness has been dealt with I look to see my body recover and become healthy again. I command my body to become healthy in Jesus’ name, for every cell and every part to be made whole and for every system to function correctly. Praise God my miracle is in motion. Amen!
If this does not bring breakthrough then use the Deliverance prayer in previous page. If that does not bring breakthrough find disciples who are experienced in such matters. Never give up.
What you say demonstrates what you believe. To receive healing, which can be immediate or a process, and to live in health, it is important we demonstrate our faith by ensuring the words of our mouth are consistent with what we claim we are trusting God for. For it is by the words of our mouth we overcome as we trust in the Lord.
This leads to the dilemma whether to say publicly that you believe you ARE healed in the name of Jesus, while it is quite obvious the symptoms of the illness are still with you. To an unbeliever due to their lack of understanding this appears ridiculous. I can not see anything wrong in using a little tact, as long as you do not confess contrary to the truth that you are trusting to be set free through the power of the cross. An unbeliever will soon ask for more details when your healing is manifested for all to see.
